The Pulsa Denura Haredim Cult Death Curse

The Pulsa Denura Haredim Cult Death Curse Cover
Haaretz ran a story titled “The mysterious death of an Orthodox Jewish millionaire – murder or suicide?” which relates the strange death of Solomon Obstfeld. Obstfeld had rented an apartment to a Rabbi at below market prices, but the Rabbi had n0t paid any rent for a period of months so Obstfeld threw the man out. Before returning to Israel the Rabbi cursed Obstfeld with the Pulsa Nenura (Whips of Fire), a supposedly ancient curse using Kabbalistic formulas to call upon the Angels of Destruction to kill the victim.

Obstfeld died under suspicious circumstances.

Whether from this curse or the Rabbi’s hired help (which those close to Obstfeld believe is what actually happened) Obstfeld’s death has pushed this strange ceremony into the public eye and I will leave it to readers to form their own opinions about its effectiveness.

But first let’s start with the true history of the Pulsa Denura. I am no expert but I know of no legitimate Kabbalist who has ever purported to use such a curse. The ever unreliable Wikipedia claims the idea of the Pulsa Denura can be traced back to the Babylonian Talmud, but scholars say the original was specifically a curse that could only be given by God to one to his Angels. There is no traditional Kabbalistic basis for this ceremony being used as a curse.

The consensus seems to be that this rite was created in the early years of Israel’s reemergence by a Rabbi named Amram Blau who led the Haredim, or what we would call ultra-orthodox Jews. The rite is basically an elaborate excommunication ritual with a curse incantation thrown in. It was and is used as a political tool by the Haredim, who count among their numbers active anti-Zionists seeking the collapse of Israel, and also a large proportion of that state’s welfare recipients since most of the Haredim men actually refuse to work for “religious” reasons. In this conflicted and overly pious community the Pulsa Denura can be seen perhaps as the expression of a group that feels both powerless and neglected by the wider Jewish community which it both despises and relies on.

Of course, as Chaos magicians will tell you, the truth is what you want it to be. The academic veracity of the curse may not pass muster but that doesn’t mean the curse can’t work. It has a high success rate, though the keen observer will notice that almost all the victims of this curse were old, already targeted by violent extremists or, in Obstfeld’s case, involved with shady characters like a Rabbi who may have hired a hitman.

My Hebrew is, shall we say, limited so I am uncomfortable publishing text to the rite. Hebrew speakers will find the text is out there. For religious purists it should be noted that it is impermissible, according to Jewish mystical tradition, to pray for something bad to happen to someone.

Like The Black Mass, which required the services of a de-frocked priest, the Pulsa Denura cannot be performed by just anyone. A group of scholars (some say ten) must perform the ritual in front of the tomb of a Jewish “martyr” after three days of fasting, starting at midnight. If the victim is without sin, the Angels will instead kill those that called them, myth says. The process will seem familiar to many of you that have slung some curses before.

In Israel the ritual isn’t particularly taken seriously, but is always a spectacle which draws the media. But there is no question that the rite contains elements of traditional Black magic. Perhaps the creator of the ritual read more than just the Zohar?

Color Correspondences

Color Correspondences Cover
Colors are important not only for their associations with the quarters, but for various magickal uses. Colors can be an important aid to the successful working of magick, to divining physical disease, to the interpretation of dreams, to meditation, etc., but only if you are a visually oriented person. For others, especially the blind and the color-blind, color can be totally irrelevant.

The general meanings (and magickal uses of) for the family groupings are as follows:

YELLOW: Clairvoyance, Divination, Studying, Learning, The Mind
ORANGE: Strength, Authority, Attraction, Luck
RED: Sexual Love, Passion, Energy, Enthusiasm, Courage
PINK: Emotional Love, Friendships

The Charm Of The Worlds

The Charm Of The Worlds Image
In the work of trance and contemplation that I call the Nineteen Working, the student is led through a series of visualizations meant to progressively create the Pagan cosmos model in and around the meditating Druid. Inside that vision the Druid then expands awareness and experiences a glimpse (or more) of a sense of oneness with all manifest existence.

This practice has several goals. First it opens and harmonizes the individual mind, providing a sense of scale concerning the individual and the cosmos. Second it allows the human magician to experience a bit of the awareness with which the Gods see the worlds - the non-local oceanic experience of existence. In practical work with spirits, my opinion is that being able to produce this state, and drawing the spirits into it, creates a sense of awe and authority for the magician. When the magician can produce in herself the sort of Unity that defines the awareness of the Gods, she gains status and power among the spirits.

If you have been working the Nineteen Working regularly, you will be growing more and more adept at producing this expanded awareness. As with most spiritual practices, that which has been learned in a 'long form' can then be worked in a shorter form, in which the entire work is recapitulated in a convenient, focused exercise.

The target state could be described in a trance such that below. I don't know whether I'd recite the description aloud - it's rather redundant with the charm. I prefer to simply establish the state through memory and trance, and then affirm/confirm it with the charm. Here's the set:

"I am seated in the Center of Worlds, and my Da Fein is enshrined in my heart. I am like the World Tree, with my roots in the Underworld and my branches in the Heavens. The Waters and the Light flow through me and shine in me. Around me are arrayed the Three Realms - Land, Sea and Sky, and these, and the heavens and the deeps, and even my own Da Fein are all made of the Nine Elements, the flesh of the Mother of All. Into this all-pattern, I extend my awareness. As I am aware of my face, I am aware of the lights of the sky. As I am aware of my flesh and bone, of the beating of my blood, I am aware of the stone and soil and sea. As I am aware of my breath, I am aware of the wind. My mind stops paying attention to my little shape of flesh, as my spirit opens into the greater Worlds of which I am merely a small part. As my awareness expands, my attention leaves my body, and I say: "

The Worlds are in me, and I am in the Worlds
The Spirit in me is the Spirit in the worlds.
I am One with the World Tree, in the Sacred Center.
With the Two Powers in me
With the Three Realms surrounding me,
And the Cauldron of Wonder within me.
I reach into the Four Airts in wisdom and magic, strength and life
And my substance is the very substance of the worlds,
Nine things in one, and one thing in many.
The Worlds are in me, and I am in the Worlds
The Spirit in me is the Spirit in the worlds.

Arts Of Witchcraft Magickal Uses Of The Four Elements

Arts Of Witchcraft Magickal Uses Of The Four Elements Cover
There are four basic systems which are useful in creating magical influences related to the four elements of earth, air, fire and water. Fire works through combustion, water through mixture, air through evaporation, and earth through decomposition. These aspects are incorporated in the completion of a spell or other magical work. Generally you will have some material left over to dispose of (wax, ashes, and so forth) and it is correct to use one of the elemental methods to complete the final stages.

If your spell was to influence a person then the earth element is used. If it was to accomplish a specific goal then fire is good. Romantic works are best with water and matters concerning mental creativity employ the element of air.

The following examples can be used to complete whatever spell you were working on.

FIRE:

Take a piece of paper or cloth and moisten it with the universal condenser. Place this in front of you and concentrate on the work of magic. Strongly imagine your thoughts to be filling the material. Imagine your desire being "written" by your thoughts across the material. When your concentration is breaking then the material is fully saturated. Now simply burn the cloth or paper in an open fire. While it is burning concentrate on your desire. The fire releases the charge and merges it with the element.

AIR:

Take a small metal container and fill it about half full. Add 3 drops of universal condenser. Put the container over a flame and concentrate upon your desire as you gaze into the water. As the steam begins to rise, imagine your desire being drawn up and carried off. Continue until all the water has been evaporated.

WATER:

Take a container and fill it about half full with fresh water. Add 3 drops of universal condenser and 3 drops of rubbing alcohol. Now impregnate the water with your concentrated desire. When you feel that it is full pour the water into a stream, river or any moving body of water.

EARTH:

With this element your concentration is centered on the universal condenser which you place in a jar after it has been loaded. Then this is poured out over a selected spot of earth to be absorbed directly into the element of earth.

FROM JANA HOLLINGSWORTH A good, useful, practical note. It seems people often use the four elements only for casting a circle, or simply have them represented on their altars. It's a good idea to use a specific element for a specific purpose, rather than always calling on all four. I suspect these spells would be best performed outdoors, making the elements seem more real. Pouring one's spell-water into a stream would feel better than pouring it down the drain.

The Empirical Rules Of Magick 01 Karma The Golden Rule

The Empirical Rules Of Magick 01 Karma The Golden Rule Cover
So far you have read a few possible explanations of how magick works. This is to open your mind to the fact it *can* work. But any explanation puts a limit on the possibilities. The possibilities which a model rules out are much harder to achieve while you use that model. Please don't limit yourself unnecessarily. But remember, no matter how much you may try to believe that you can fly, it's not likely you'll succeed. The obvious lesson here is, be careful: test the waters of your subconscious, act responsibly (but not over cautious). Don't jump off a cliff after your first flight spell. Don't quit work after your first job spell. Start slow and find out how your Little Self works before you do any life changing work.

There is a hazard so universal that you should treat it as fact: Karma. This is the old saw of, "what goes around, comes around." You attract things of a similar nature to what you concentrate on (similar to morphogenetic fields). And remember, when you concentrate on something, your Little Self does so at least as much. The mechanistic reason for this may be "the subconscious mind directing subtle actions to bring about circumstances in tune with its thoughts." Metaphysicians often explain it as "like vibrations attracting like."

Everything has a "vibration." This is similar to the vibration of musical notes, though obviously not the same. As with musical notes, one vibration can start a sympathetic vibration. One vibrating piano string will start similar strings vibrating. Karma is the word for this principle in magick. There is a certain vibration associated with any act. If you hit someone, the emotions and actions involved are of a certain vibration. This will tend to attract things of a similar vibration, primarily violent acts. You will tend to attract someone to hit you. It turns out that everything you do to others you essentially also do to yourself, and vice versa. It sounds trite, but being nice to others and yourself truly makes the world a better place for everyone.

It doesn't matter how you understand karma, or even if you believe in it-- you are warn-ed. Many people don't believe. The action of karma, particularly on such people, is often too slow to notice. It can easily take lifetimes for a soul to work through karma. But the soul will, so avoid bad thoughts. This is impossible, but you will get better with practice. Each unpleasant thought has a negative effect on you and others. This brings negative things into your life. This is pretty rotten, but remember that each positive thought brings positive things-- that can be pretty good. In any case, you needn't respect karma to find yourself a happier person for trying to live this way.

If you are just learning about karma, you will probably find that it is now a little more obvious in your life. But sometimes it's difficult to figure. If you do a spell to heal some-one, you would expect to be attracting good things. But what if immediately afterward you receive a transfer back home to live near your scummy relatives? Hardly fair! Yet that's the kind of result you can expect if you do anything to a person without permission. People have enough difficulty with their own Little Selves, it's nearly impossible to divine the desire of someone else's. The most beneficent act could violate someone's will on some level. If the person asks you, then you are free to act. But, even if you are absolutely sure that the person would want it, if he hasn't asked you, don't do it.

Another fantastic example is the love spell. Do a spell to attract the kind of person you want, not a specific person. Exercising your will on others without their consent is always nasty-- doing so magickally has an even higher cost. Watch yourself. Many people working with magick do so under a "threefold law." This means that any karmic response is tripled. This is to keep people particularly scrupulous when they are fooling around with this stuff. Take it seriously.

Why Practice Golden Dawn Ritual Magic

Why Practice Golden Dawn Ritual Magic Image

BY GOLDEN DAWN IMPERATORDAVID GRIFFIN

Golden Dawn Imperator

David Griffin

"An Alpha Omega Magician recently told me there is a lot of new information available on the Enochian Magic system, and that she had heard that the general consensus is that what the G.D. did with it is not 'traditional'.

What Golden Dawn founder, the great Mage, S.L. MacGregor Mathers, did was to take certain basics of the original Enochian system of John Dee, and integrate it into the Golden Dawn System of Ritual Magic, together with Qabalah, Egyptian God Forms, etc.

Golden Dawn Imperator

S.L MacGregor Mathers

Sadly, however, Mathers only managed to accomplish this integration for Golden Dawn Elemental Magic prior to his unexpected death in a flu epidemic.

The Ritual Magic Manual is an fundamental Golden Dawn breakthrough, since after consulting all of the original Dee manuscripts (which I obtained in photocopy from the British Museum), I managed to complete the same line of synthesis Mathers had begun, but for Planetary and Zodiacal magic.

Why practice Golden Dawn Ritual Magic?

"TO BECOME A MAGICIAN!"

The challenges I faced in this process as well as how I overcame them, is all carefully documented in Appendix 4 of The Ritual Magic Manual, beginning on page 621. This study is called "The Book of the Concourse of Planetary and Zodiacal Forces," which I first published in 1999. Due to its fundamental importance, I have since made this groundbreaking study available for free download here.

Without going into too much detail, the biggest problem with integrating Enochian Planetary magic into the Golden Dawn system was solved by my discovery of a hitherto unnoticed parallel between the planetary arrangement in John Dee's "De Heptarchia Mystica" and the planetary arrangement inside the Golden Dawn's Vault of the Adepti.

All of the correct colors of the Sigillum Dei Aemeth as a Golden Dawn Planetary Tablet of Union follow from this discovery, as illustrated below. Please note that other Golden Dawn authors have since copied my colored Sigillum Dei Aemeth, but without the proper colors and without crediting me for this discovery. Such errors can be highly dangerous if inadvertently used magically. Any coloring arrangement for the Sigillum other than the one below is arbitrary and should not be used as a Golden Dawn Planetary Tablet of Union.

The original Golden Dawn Planetary Tablet of Union, which is illustrated below, is entirely based on the Golden Dawn's Vault of the Adepti, as is thoroughly explained in my "Book of the Concourse of Planetary and Zodiacal Forces" (1999). That the Golden Dawn's Planetary Tablet of Union (shown below) can be used safely and effectively in Planetary Magic, has been verified by countless Magicians in practice over the past 12 years.

Sigillum Dei Aemeth- The Golden Dawn's Planetary Tablet of Union(Colored According to the Vault of the Adepti)

The Good news is you don't need to master all of the material in my "Book of the Concourse of the Planetary and Zodiacal Forces" to practice Golden Dawn Planetary and Zodiacal Enochian Magic!

The Golden Dawn's Enochian Venus Tablet

You will find all of the Golden Dawn's correct Enochian Planetary Tablets, as well as the Enochian Zodiacal Tablet, in color illustrations in The Ritual Magic Manual. You will also find complete Enochian Planetary and Zodiacal magic integrated into all of the Planetary and Zodiacal rituals - in a user-friendly, step-by-step format - integrated using S.L. MacGregor Mathers precise, original lines of synthesis, as is traditional in the Golden Dawn.

Dr. John Dee

Returning to the initial question, which prompted this discussion, the answer is that John Dee also wrote plenty of details regarding how to practice the Enochian system in a manner completely different than what Mathers did with the Dee material. This is largely presented in a usable format by Gfrey James in "The Enochian Magick of Dr. John Dee: The Most Powerful System of Magick in its Original, Unexpurgated Form"

For those wishing to practice pre-Golden Dawn Enochian Magic, this book may be used as a grimoire in its own right. I have worked this system with great success for many years.

Remember, there are plenty of knock offs and Golden Dawn rehashes out there, but there is still only one Ritual Magic Manual!...

... The only place you will find complete Golden Dawn Planetary and Zodiacal magic fully unveiled.

The Ritual Magic Manual

If you would like personal coaching in your Ritual Magic practice, you will not want to miss the FREE Webinar I will be teaching on Saturday, October 27, at 12:00 PM PDT in the Blogchat here on The Golden Dawn Blog.

In order to better help Self Initiates and Solitary Practitioners, I will also be giving away a free electronic copy of the Ritual Magic Manual to all sincere, aspiring Magicians who participate in this groundbreaking Webinar.
